Rejoice Always
Rejoice
When you think of the word rejoice, what comes to mind? Most likely it's the state of being happy or the joyous feeling rushing in your body when you're celebrating something big. The actual definition of rejoice is to feel or show great joy or delight.
Rejoicing in The Lord
Rejoice in the Lord always- Philippians 4:4 (KJV)
But do you still rejoice when things aren't going the way you'd expect?
As human beings, we become frustrated when things don't have the end result we anticipated. We become weary and focus solely on what didn't happened that we leave God almighty out of the picture even though he chooses what best for us. God chooses what's best for us because he knows us better than ourselves and he knows what can disconnect us from him.
As believers in Christ, we are faced with tests and trials. And certain decisions we make are designed to steal our joy in future. Sometimes God himself barricades certain things from coming to us because it looks or sound goods at first sight , but will self - destruct later on.
When things don't go the way we expect, we tend to have the feeling of fear and anxiety from overthinking. Overthinking blocks our confidence which hinders our ability to rejoice. It's normal to feel fear and anxiety in some instances because it's human nature. Jesus experienced these feelings himself at the Garden of Gethsemane. The bible mentioned what Jesus felt as agony, which is described as an extreme mental pain. Jesus' feelings of fear and anxiety was so severe that he sweat blood.
And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.- Luke 22:44 (KJV)
Although he faced this challenge of being crucified, he overcame death through Resurrection and rejoiced because he fulfilled scripture.
So rejoice with confidence because no matter what comes your way is just the beginning of God's designated destiny for your life. God wants you to rejoice in him ALWAYS!!
