The Fruit of the Spirit
Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Are you producing fruit? The Greek word translated "fruit" pertains to the organic product of a living thing. In the scripture above, Paul uses the "fruit" as an analogy to help us understand the product of the Spirit (the Holy Spirit) within a Christian believer. Therefore, we allow the Spirit to manifest great works inside of us in order for it to manifest on the outside. Flowing inside-out The fruit of a plant displays the quality of its source (nutrients), so as the fruit of your spiritual life. It displays the quality of your relationship with Christ, the source of growth.
